Jack Edward Bowsher was born on
October 2, 1930 in Harmony, Ohio; graduated from
Plattsburg High school in 1948 and served a year
in the Navy in 1949. This was also the year
that Jack saw his first automobile race. He
was never been the same after that! Jack was not only the
owner of Bowsher Racing Team, but also the heart
and soul. Jack was the epitome of what
ARCA racing is all about and was respected by all who knew him.
These are a few of Jack's achievements during his 57 years in
racing.

Jack began competing as a driver/owner in
1949.

Jack began his career in the ARCA RE/MAX
Series in 1953, the year ARCA incorporated
and sanctioned its first race.

Jack won the ARCA Spirit Award in 2004.

NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at the road
course in Riverside, California in 1970 with
A.J. Foyt behind the wheel.

Jack finished 1st in the 24 Hours of Daytona
as a car owner in 1976 with drivers David
and Larry Pearson, and sons Jim & Gary.

One of Ford Motor Company's factory
supported teams through out he 60's, 70's,
80's and 90's.
